Fallout new vegas mod manager no hands how to#
When I first started modding Bethesda games, it seemed overwhelming, but most of that is for ENBs, incredibly complicated mods, or learning how to use Wyre Bash to merge mods so you can run 200 at once. I completely understand not wanting to spend an entire weekend to learn a new skillset and I do think these YouTube guides are often counter-productive as it takes longer to watch the video than it does to actually DO the modding. The "Posts" tab near the "Files" tab will usually also be filled with people pointing out any problems they've had, usually with someone offering a solution in reply. Even if you download multiple mods that alter some of the same textures, like a given rock, one will just overwrite the other, it won't cause a crash or anything. But making the game just look better is pretty easy, as there is little to go wrong. Click on any of them and it will have instructions on how to install it, any other mods it won't work with, etc. Then honestly, whenever you've got some time, just pull up any mod category, organize it by endorsements, and then go through the first few pages to see what are usually the most stable, popular, useful mods in that category. Once Vortex downloads them all, in the top corner, just follow it's prompts to install, activate, and deploy the mods, it basically hand-holds you. To look at all the available graphics mods, starting with the most popular, which isĬlick the Files tab, decide on how detailed you want the new textures to be (large being super-detailed, medium somewhat detailed, and small not much better than vanilla) and click where it says "Mod Manager Download" for each part (so if you want large, obviously you need part 1, 2, and 3). Then download Vortex, it's up in the corner, and it should find New Vegas for you.
